Entry Requirements and Eligibility

At least 18 years of age at the commencement of the course

Must have completed the equivalent of Australian Year 11 or equivalent (International Students)

For direct entry into a VET course, Applicants require a minimum IELTS test score of 5.5 or equivalent


An IELTS score of 5.0 or higher with an ELICOS course (up to 10 weeks) taken prior to the main VET course


An IELTS score of 4.5 or equivalent to an ELICOS course (up to 20 weeks) prior to the main VET course


Evidence of at least five years of English study in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, South Africa, the United Kingdom, or the United States


Evidence that the applicant completed a foundation course, a senior secondary certificate of education, or a substantial part of an Australian Qualifications Framework course at the Certificate IV or higher level in Australia within two years of their application date while on a student visa


Successful completion of BLC’s Language and Numeracy Test on BLC’s campus (only for onshore international students) for students in Assessment Levels 1 and 2
